چکیده

The temporal stability of the image quality an infrared focal plane array (FPA) is one key parameter to consider for high-performance imaging applications. It generally evaluated through residual fixed pattern noise (RFPN) measurements realized after a two-point correction (TPC) and bad pixels exclusion. However, effect random telegraph signal (RTS) on has never been quantified, intermittent blinking RTS making inherently complicated. In this article, we propose novel protocol data processing technique fully characterize FPA, thanks simultaneous RFPN measurements. Using robust statistics based median absolute deviation (MAD) leads more trustful evaluation, unaffected by exclusion step. This new can be applied any FPA technology, cooled or uncooled, operating in [3, 14] ?m spectral domain. We chose use type-II superlattice (T2SL) midwave integrated cryocooler at 80 K. show that long-term 320 × 256 excellent. only slightly increases over 77 days, using TPC calculated first day campaign. A simple offset update, compatible with operational contingencies, further improve FPA. Only 0.3% were affected some moment. Those do not affect evolution, which very encouraging result T2SL detector technology.

Robust Approach for Nonuniformity Correction in Infrared Focal Plane Array

In this paper, we propose a new scene-based nonuniformity correction technique for infrared focal plane arrays. Our work is based on the use of two well-known scene-based methods, namely, adaptive and interframe registration-based exploiting pure translation motion model between frames. The two approaches have their benefits and drawbacks, which make them extremely effective in certain conditio...

an infinite planar array of rectangular microstrip patch antenna analysis

the methods which are used to analyze microstrip antennas, are divited into three categories: empirical methods, semi-empirical methods and full-wave analysis. empirical and semi-empirical methods are generally based on some fundamental simplifying assumptions about quality of surface current distribution and substrate thickness. thses simplificatioms cause low accuracy in field evaluation. ful...

Corrugated Quantum Well Infrared Photodetector Focal Plane Array Test Results

The corrugated quantum-well infrared photodetector (C-QWIP) uses total internal reflection to couple normal incident light into the optically active quantum wells. The coupling efficiency has been shown to be relatively independent of the pixel size and wavelength thus making the C-QWIP a candidate for detectors over the entire infrared spectrum. The broadband coupling efficiency of the C-QWIP ...

Fast Adaptive Nonuniformity Correction for Infrared Focal-Plane Array Detectors

A novel adaptive scene-based nonuniformity correction technique is presented. The technique simultaneously estimates detector parameters and performs the nonuniformity correction based on the retina-like neural network approach. The proposed method includes the use of an adaptive learning rate rule in the gain and offset parameter estimation process. This learning rate rule, together with a red...
